Donkey Kong’s Moves
Donkey Kong does a lot more than just running and jumping through the island. He'll need to master these moves to get past the awe-inspiring obstacles coming his way.
A quick shake of the Wii Remote™ controller while running sends Donkey Kong rolling along the ground for a spell. He can use this momentum to launch a long distance jump.
Those hands pack a whallop! This move shakes the very ground beneath Donkey Kong’s feet, tripping switches, stunning enemies, and affecting the world around him in surprising ways.
Growing grass, ship sails, and chains are no more than a romp on the monkey bars for Donkey Kong and his climbing powers. Grab hold of these clingable objects, and move upside down every which way to see what he can find!
See plants or other objects blowing in the wind? Giving them an extra puff may reveal secrets, goodies, and more.
Barrel Jet (With Diddy Kong)
Diddy Kong can jump on Donkey Kong's back and provide Barrel Jet support. Together, the primate pair can extend their jump distance.
Kong Roll (With Diddy Kong)
With Diddy Kong on top, a Barrel Roll becomes the mighty Kong Roll—mowing down baddies in the way.
Diddy Kong's Moves
When playing with a friend or family member, the second player will take control of Diddy Kong. Donkey Kong's small and agile companion can perform all of his moves and more.
A few extra bursts of the Barrel Jet will keep Diddy Kong in the air for a bit longer, letting him get to some hard to reach places.
The peppy gun is more potent than puny, letting Diddy Kong take out certain bad guys with a shot of peanut power.
Diddy Kong's version of the Barrel Roll has the same effect, just with an extra bit of acrobatic flair. What a show-off!
He may not have Donkey Kong's brute strength, but by shooting the ground, Diddy Kong can pull off his own verison of the Ground Pound.
